Weekend Relief Manager

This is part-time position that provides the Group Home Manager with time off every other weekend. The Weekend Relief Manager is responsible for providing support and training to individuals with Intellectual and other Developmental Disabilities in a group home setting. Duties include supporting 5-6 customers with daily living skills training such as cooking, household cleaning, personal care & hygiene; provide community recreational activities; administering medication and documentation of weekend activities. Must be willing to drive a full-size passenger van. One year I/DD experience prefered. Schedule: 34.5 hours every other weekend; Friday 6pm- Sunday 6:30pm, working every other weekend, Friday and Saturday night sleep-over at the home required. Rate: $12.00 per hour

Group Home Manager

This is a Full-Time live-in position available for a Group Home Manager, working 65 hours per week or more, providing direct care support and supervision to 5-6 individuals with Intellectual and other Developmental Disabilities in a group home setting. Duties include supporting these individuals with daily living skills training such as cooking, cleaning; overseeing health care and attending doctor appointments, providing transportation, and planning community outings. The Group Home Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the house by managing budgets, weekly menu planning, grocery shopping, and reporting maintenance requests. The GHM is also responsible to assigning duties to 3 other part-time staff who also work at the house. Position also requires driving a full-size van on a daily basis. All group home staff are required to wear slip resistant shoes while on-duty. Benefits: The Group Home has a manager’s suite that is two rooms, including private bathroom and private entrance for the manager to use as their residence; rent free, utilities included. The Group Home Manger may reside at the group home on weekends but will not be responsible to interact with the clientele during their off-duty hours. This position includes health insurance and life insurance as well as paid leave. Additional Requirements: This is a live-in position. The candidate for this position must be willing to use the group home address as their residential address on their driver’s license. Location: Charlotte, NC Schedule: Position requires sleeping overnight at the group home Sunday night through Thursday night. Hours are Sunday 6pm–11pm; Mon–Thurs. 6:00 am–10:00pm with 5 hours off during the day; Fri: 6:30 am – 6:30pm. Rate: $35K-$42K annually depending on overtime.

Manager's Assistant

Group Homes. Part–Time employee - The Managers Assistant is an entry level position who works with the Group Home Manager and is responsible for providing support to individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities in a group home setting. Duties include supporting 4-6 individuals with daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, and community outings, and other duties as assigned by the Manager. Daily documentation is required. Driving a full-sized van is required. Qualifications: Applicant must have high school diploma/GED, valid driver’s license and a clear criminal background. This position requires American Sign Language skills. Candidates can be either hearing or deaf but must know and use ASL. This part-time position provides the Group Home Manager with time off every other weekend. The Weekend Relief Manager is responsible for providing support and training to individuals with Intellectual and other Developmental Disabilities who are also deaf in a Co-Ed group home setting. Duties include supporting 5-6 customers with daily living skills training such as cooking, household cleaning, personal care & hygiene; provide community recreational activities; administering medication and documentation of weekend activities. Must be willing to drive a full-size passenger van. Friday and Saturday night sleep over at the Group Home required. There is a staff bedroom. Housing Accountant & Payroll Administrator

Description: This position involves multiple duties. Key functions include maintaining financial records for HUD residential properties plus providing a lead role in payroll and contractor settlements for the agency. Skills needed include preparing budgets, reconciling financial records including preparing balance sheets, tracking rent receipts and deposits, managing, and planning for reserves, preparing HUD tenant contract renewals and adjustments, and preparing bank deposits. Responsibilities also include researching and reconciling any payroll and settlement problems. The position also requires the use of multiple data keeping systems. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with minimum 2-years’ experience in accounting required. The ideal candidate will have experience with HUD regulatory requirements and/or Medicaid funding. Public accounting experience preferred. Location: Charlotte Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:30a - 4:30pm. Community Navigator - Union County

Position: Community Navigator – Union County and surrounding area Full-Time Description: Full-Time position, 35 hrs./wk., working with individuals with Intellectual and other Developmental Disabilities and their family to enhance the ability of the individual to lead a self-determined life by coordinating and facilitating opportunities and resources that promote formal and informal support, information and choice. Must be willing to assist individuals/families in accessing local community resources and providers, assisting with filling out applications for services, tracking costs and helping the individual stay within budget, planning for unexpected needs, etc. Candidate must be familiar with the towns and communities of Union County as well as local services available to residents there. Schedule: Hours typically Monday – Friday daytime, but may vary depending on the family’s needs. Qualifications: Applicant must be 18 years of age or older, must have high school diploma/GED, valid driver’s license and a clear criminal background. Willing to provide transportation to client as needed. Mileage reimbursed. Experience working with volunteers and community building for those with developmental disabilities is preferred. Residential Specialist 7-7

Position: Residential Specialist, 7 days on, 7 days off Department: Group Homes Description: This is a Full-Time alternating live-in position working 7 days on – 7 days off, Mon-Sun. every other week. The main duties are providing direct care support and supervision to 6 adults with Intellectual and other Developmental Disabilities, (ex: Down’s Syndrome or Autism), in a group home setting. Duties include supporting these individuals with daily living skills training such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, overseeing health care and attending doctor appointments, providing transportation, and planning community outings. Position also requires driving a full-size van daily. All group home staff are required to wear slip resistant shoes while on-duty. During the “on” weeks, staff must do sleepovers at the group home each night. There is a bedroom for staff at the group home. This room is split with one other staff who works alternating weeks. Benefits: Health insurance, life insurance and paid time off including vacation, holiday and sick leave. The Group Home Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the house by managing budgets, planning weekly menus, grocery shopping, and reporting maintenance requests. The GHM is also responsible for assigning duties to and supervising 2 other full-time staff who also work at the house. Other duties include supporting the residents with daily living skills training such as cooking, cleaning, overseeing health care and attending doctor appointments, providing transportation, and planning community outings. Driving a full-size van daily will also be requirement. All group home staff are required to wear slip resistant shoes while on-duty. Benefits: Health insurance, life insurance, dental reimbursement program, 401-K as well as paid leave, i.e.- vacation time, holidays, and sick leave. Qualifications: Applicant must be 18 years of age or older, one-year experience working with a special needs population and one-year supervisory experience, must have strong communication and documentation skills, must have high school diploma/GED, valid driver’s license and a clear criminal background. Mecklenburg Co. DSP - Contractor (less than 15 hours/week)

The Direct Support Professional is responsible for helping to implement services and supports that will assist the customer to achieve personal goals and desired outcomes as identified through an Individual Support Plan. This contract position is in Mecklenburg County and requires less than 15 hours per week. Position conditional upon clear drug screen. Responsibilities may include (but are not limited to): Instruction and assistance in home living environments. Helping customers identify and acquire valued social roles. Helping customers develop healthy social habits. Dispensing medication and monitoring dosages. Transporting and accompanying customers to and from day programs, work sites, and community activities. Supporting customers at vocational sites. This is a Contract position. Independent Contractors receive a 1099 tax form and use an third-party Contract Management vendor for their direct deposits. Additional fees required for Contractors include paying for state-required training, Occupational Accident Insurance, and administrative fees for the Contract Management vendor.
